US-backed terrorist now leads Islamic State in Libya
Your Tax Dollars Paid For ISIS
A top member of the jihadist group that the US government and NATO armed and funded in the overthrow of Colonel Gaddafi back in 2011 is now leading ISIS forces in Libya.
Once again, the growth of ISIS can be traced directly back to our government’s insane policy of aiding terrorists who went on to join ISIS after the destabilization of the secular governments of Libya and Syria.
Abdelhakim Belhadj, seen above meeting with Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham, was the emir of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), an organization affiliated with Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, which killed U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In 2011, we published articles pointing out that the US and Britain were directly supporting jihadists like Belhadj in an area in Libya which West Point warned was the world capital for Al-Qaeda suicide bomber recruitment.
Our own governments were supporting these people to overthrow Gaddafi. When Tripoli fell with the aid of British and American cruise missiles, these same terrorists got access to nuclear material, deadly chemicals and 30,000 shoulder fired rockets.
These same terrorists flew the Al-Qaeda flag over courthouses in Benghazi, the same flag now being flown by ISIS, and imposed sharia law, while transforming Libya from a relatively prosperous and thriving nation, into a brutal hellhole run by tribal warlords and jihadists. And our governments helped them do it.
Some of these same terrorists were then airlifted into Syria by our allies to join the ranks of rebel jihadists in attempting to topple the Assad government, which of course led to the birth of ISIS in the region. And even as the US continues to support so-called “moderate rebels” in Syria, thousands of them are defecting to the Islamic State.
The Citizens Committee on Benghazi report concluded that the United States was involved in, “knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,” and that if the U.S. “hadn’t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya” the attack on the US consulate wouldn’t have occurred a year later.
The US armed, funded, militarily aided and gave political office to the guy now leading ISIS terrorists in Libya.
We keep hearing this line in the media over and over again; How do we stop ISIS? Do we need ground troops? How about we stop arming and funding bloodthirsty terrorists in the first place? How’s that for a novel idea? How about we stop destabilizing secular governments and replacing them with gangs of jihadist lunatics? How about we find out why ISIS keeps accidentally receiving air drops of weapons caches from British and American planes?
ISIS is now threatening to send half a million immigrants from Libya, causing chaos on the streets of Europe. The Islamic State continues to butcher innocent Christians and Muslims across the region. And all because our governments armed and supported these subhuman scumbags from the very beginning.

Earlier in the week, the Canadian government condemned the actions of scores of people who defaced the country’s currency to memorialize screen legend Leonard Nimoy.
Star Trek fans commemorated the late thespian by adding facial features to the man who appears on the Bank of Canada’s five dollar bill, Prime Minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier, morphing the former lawmaker into the USS Enterprise‘s pointy-eared extraterrestrial.
Some Americans were upset they hadn’t thought of the idea.
Croatians also took Canadians’ cue:
In response to the mass “spocking,” the Bank of Canada issued a message, not declaring the act illegal, but imploring citizens not to deface their fiat currency because “national pride”:
“It is not illegal to write or make other markings on bank notes. However, there are important reasons why it should not be done. Writing on a bank note may interfere with the security features and reduces its lifespan. Markings on a note may also prevent it from being accepted in a transaction. Furthermore, the Bank of Canada feels that writing and markings on bank notes are inappropriate as they are a symbol of our country and a source of national pride.”
The Bank of Canada’s attempt to Vulcan death grip citizens’ creative remembrance of Nimoy is humorous given that the fiat paper money, like the US Dollar, holds no intrinsic value.
“The Canadian Dollar, among a long list of other currencies around the world, is no longer backed by gold,” writes Chris Ferreira for Economic Reason. “No gold, silver–nada is backing the value of the Canadian Dollar. The Gold Standard for the Canadian Dollar was officially abandoned on April 10th, 1933.”
So, the bank is essentially asking people not to deface money whose only value comes from the good faith placed in it by the Canadian people.
Good luck with that.

As the hoax of man-made “climate change” continues to unravel, its proponents are getting more desperate to blame anything on “global warming,” no matter how ridiculous.
Here’s some of the stupidest claims:
1) Study Claims “Global Warming” Will Cause More Rapes – In his study entitled “Crime, Weather and Climate Change,” Michael Ranson, a Senior Associate with Abt Associates, claimed that “global warming” will cause an additional 180,000 cases of rape and 22,000 murders by 2099. Ranson also claimed that “climate change” will lead to a further “1.2 million aggravated assaults, 2.3 million simple assaults, 260,000 robberies, 1.3 million burglaries, 2.2 million cases of larceny and 580,000 cases of vehicle theft in the United States.”
Yet Ranson’s study uses a statistical correlation to make the claim, despite the fact that correlation does not imply causation.
2) “Climate Change” Forces Women into Prostitution – “Climate change could reduce income from farming and fishing, possibly driving some women into sex work and thereby increase HIV infection,” U.N. spokesperson Suneeta Mukherjee claimed.
3) Human-Caused “Warming” Lead to Rise of ISIS – A “study” entitled “Climate change in the Fertile Crescent and implications of the recent Syrian drought” alleged that global warming made Syria’s 2006 to 2010 drought two to three times more likely. “While we’re not saying the drought caused the war,” lead author Dr. Colin Kelley explained. “We are saying that it certainly contributed to other factors — agricultural collapse and mass migration among them — that caused the uprising.”
4) In 1985 Gov’t Scientists Predicted NYC Would Resemble Warm, Snowless Daytona Beach – 30 years ago the New York Times reported that “Federal climate experts have suggested that within a century the greenhouse effect could turn New York City into something with the climate of Daytona Beach, Fla.”
“Beginning in a decade or two, scientists expect the warming of the atmosphere to melt the polar icecaps, raising the level of the seas, flooding coastal areas, eroding the shores and sending salt water far into fresh-water estuaries,” the Times reported. “Storm patterns will change, drying out some areas, swamping others and generally throwing agriculture into turmoil.”
So what’s the temperature of NYC today? Around 21 degrees with snow on the ground.
5) Climate Activists Claim Deep Freeze Due to “Global Warming” – “Global warming could be making parts of the world colder,” an Australian news outlet suggested, even though the phrase “global warming” refers to the entire world getting warmer, not just specific parts of it.
6) “Global Warming” to End Civilization – “If we continue our present growth path we are facing extinction – not in millions of years, or even millennia, but by the end of this century,” Professor Peter Barrett said, a claim he later backed away from.
7) “Global Warming” Causes Suicides – In 2006, the Christian Science Monitor claimed that a six year drought caused by “global warming” was making Australian farmers suicidal.
8) “Climate Change” Causes Salmonella Poisoning – “Studies show salmonella infection, often associated with the use of raw eggs in mayonnaise, rises with an increase in average temperatures in Europe,” Planet Ark harped in 2005. “Allergy sufferers may find their sneezing and wheezing last weeks longer than before as warmer temperatures prolong the pollen-producing season.”

While polls show a majority of Americans are opposed to the healthcare-at-gunpoint mandate, a separate poll conducted the Kaiser Family Foundation recently shows solid support for income redistribution built into the massive government program.
In December, 2013, Ethics & Public Policy Center senior fellow James Capretta told Fox News Obamacare is a wealth redistribution program.
“You’re right about income redistribution,” Capretta said. “It’s $250 billion a year in Medicaid expansion and the subsidy structure that’s basically being paid for by people on Medicare through Medicare cuts and a lot of tax increases. If you want to know what the bill is really about, people in their most honest and candid moments will admit that it’s basically taking $250 billion a year out of taxes and Medicare, and moving it into the Medicaid expansion and subsidy structures… It is a massive, massive income redistribution.”
If the Kaiser poll can be believed, most Americans are in favor of this scheme, primarily because so many of them qualify for subsidies.
“A strong majority of Americans would want officials to restore often-significant financial aid given to Obamacare customers in much of the United States if the Supreme Court rules the assistance is illegal, a new survey shows,”CNBC reported in January.
The vast majority of people who buy Obamacare plans on government-run exchanges qualify for tax credits to help them pay their monthly insurance premiums. If those subsidies are not available, there is widespread agreement among insurance experts that enrollment in Obamacare plans would plummet because many people would find their retail prices unaffordable.
“If the Supreme Court rules that financial assistance is only available in states with state-run marketplaces, nearly two-thirds of the public says that Congress should take action so that people in all states can be eligible for financial help to purchase health insurance,” Kaiser writes.
The Supreme Court is now hearing arguments on the tax subsidy portion of the law and is expected to render a judgement by June.
If the court rules against the provision, Justice Anthony Kennedy argued, Obamacare will experience a “death spiral.”
